Hickory N.C. What to do ?

Will be in Hickory for wedding 4/5/08. Looking for weekend activities and thinking about sightseeing around Lake Norman and catching a Crawdads game in the following week. Anything else we should not miss ?????

Hickory N.C. What to do ?

Not much sightseeing around Lake Norman. It%26#39;s a residential and sporting lake. You can drive about 45 minutes north to Blowing Rock - quaint and picturesque mountain town. There are virtually no attractions in Hickory - you might enjoy browsing through the Hickory Furniture Mart.

Hickory N.C. What to do ?

Crawdads games are fun. Have dinner at 1859 Cafe, catch a play at Hickory Community Theatre, and then after-dinner drinks %26amp; live music at the Hickory Taproom. Visit the Science Center (and its new aquarium!), the Art Museum, and the Planetarium, all the SALT Block on Highway 127 in Viewmont. Those are just a few. Enjoy!
