Hotels near Lynx Rail park and rides for ACC Tournament

I%26#39;m having difficulty determining exactly what hotels may be in the vicinity of the Lynx park and ride locations. Here are the locations: Scaleybark, Woodlawn, Tyvola, Archdale, Arrowood, Sharon Rd. West, and I-485/South Blvd.

Any suggestions?

Scaleybark - none, Woodlawn - a couple of older hotels are about a block or two away ( used to be Sterling Suites- what is it now? Woodlawn Suites?))..not a really good area. Tyvola - none. Archdale - none. Arrowood - none. Sharon - none. I-485 - none. Several of the stops locations are high crime neighborhoods - you wouldn%26#39;t want to stay there anyway. If you have business downtown, stay there. Best wishes.

OK, then, what good hotels are within a 10 minute drive from those stops? All the downtown hotels are already booked for the ACC Tournament.

Try the hotels around Southpark - Hampton, Hyatt, Marriott, Doubletree....Best wishes.

Your closest station would probably be Tyvola.

It%26#39;s not near a Lynx park but the university area has rooms avialable. I just booked at the Holiday Inn University for $139. Next to I-85 and easy trip downtown.

You have to take what you can get...but University area would be on the bottom of my list due to crime and traffic.

You might want to look at these along I-485 in Pineville.

Holiday Inn Express-Pineville

Best Western-Palm Suites鈥?/p>

Hampton Inn %26amp; Suites Charlotte/Pineville鈥?/p>

Hilton Garden Inn Charlotte Pineville鈥?/p>

Comfort Suites鈥?/p>

Extended Stay America鈥?/p>

Quality Suites

All these should be about 5 - 10 minutes from the I-485/South Blvd. station. Free parking and $2.50 round trip ticket. Sure beats 45 minutes of hunting for parking uptown then paying $10-$15+ to park then having to walk half a mile or more to the arena.

University area wouldn%26#39;t be too bad. Yes, traffic will be bad. Crime - maybe more of an issue than Mayberry but isn%26#39;t any more a problem than in any major city.
