I was wondering if the Marriott, Westin and Hilton are all within walking distance to Bobcat arena? We will be attending a concert in April and we are looking for a hotel within walking distance. We have stayed at the Omni before and I know that it is the closest hotel to the arena. I want to bid on priceline, but I want to make sure the others are within walking distance before I bid. Thanks!

Marriott is about 2 blocks away. Westin is farther, but still only about 4 blocks. I think the Hilton is closer than the Westin.

Thanks for the info. We will be staying in the Uptown area for two days. We have two more days after that to find something to keep us busy. We will be taking the kids to Carowinds, but other than that, we are open to any ideas? Any recommendations for other areas that might be good for a day or two? We thought of going up to Blowing Rock, since we enjoyed our visit their last summer, but we will really only have about 48 hours, and I am not sure we want to drive that far. Does the Southpark area offer much? Thanks for any suggestions...
Southpark is an upscale business/shopping/residential area. The mall is a west coast version of Rodeo Dr. in Beverly Hills - nothing there as far as ';attractions';. Blowing Rock is not a bad drive from Charlotte - a couple of hours - we go up for the day quite a bit.Are you flying into Charlotte and renting a car or driving down?
How about Old Salem? We try to go once a year. It%26#39;s a living history town (circa late 1700%26#39;s) with actors in period dress. There%26#39;s even a bakery. And don%26#39;t forget the moravian love feast buns, slurp slurp.

We are flying into Charlotte and we will be renting a car. The concert is Friday night, and we were thinking about staying Uptown on Friday night, and maybe Saturday night. Our plans so far are to go to Carowinds on Saturday, and possibly Sunday (if we need more time). Then we are open until we fly out on Tuesday. We have thought about possibly Blowing Rock, if time allows. The kids are also interested in the kids museum. So we need to find a hotel downtown for at least one night, if not two, and a another hotel in a good area for the other two nights. Old Salem sounds interesting. We did Colonial Williamsburg in Virgina last spring. Is sounds like Old Salem is somewhat like CW.
You%26#39;ll only need one day at Carowinds. Yes, Old Salem is like a mini-Williamsburg. While at Carowinds be sure and visit the new Plaza Fiesta adjacent to it - it%26#39;s a new mall with the feel of a Mexican Plaza - it%26#39;s fun. Best wishes.
bud41, where is that? in the old waccamaw building?
It%26#39;s old Carolina PLace Mall...where Carolina Pottery was. They%26#39;ve done a great job - if you want to feel like you are in old Mexico- that%26#39;s the place!
cool, maybe i will check it out this weekend.
wait, i%26#39;m confused. near carolina place mall? the one a few miles from carowinds? or is there an old carolina place mall?
