we are hoping to take a trip to the outer banks this summer with three kids - ages 4, 2 1/2 and 8 months at thetime of trip. is it best to go in June or august? which areas would be good for us and where can we find a rental property?
where to stay and rent from with kids
The Outer Banks has a wide variety of places to rent, and types of entertainment and activities. It would be easier to point you in the right direction with a little more info. What types of activities are you looking for, are you wanting to go out for meals, etc. The Outer Banks has areas that are quiet and secluded, and also has the much more commercialized parts, too. No doubt you can find what you are looking for!

The Outer Banks are very family oriented, so no matter where you rent, you%26#39;ll fit right in.
Like the previous poster said, it depends on what you%26#39;re looking for. Duck has a lot to offer but it is kind of congested. If you prefer a little more elbow room, Corolla, to the north is a nice area. If you really want seclusion, you can head waaaaay south.
As for the time to go, if you choose the second half of August you%26#39;ll save a lot of money with many of the rentals. Many go back to school down there at that time and the rates go down. However I have noticed that people are onto this and those places get snatched up quickly.
