I will be staying at the Doubletree Suites, Southpark, in April. What is there nearby for a single lady to do? Shopping? Culture? Organised trips?

South Park Mall is beside Doubletree. It%26#39;s an upscale mall - glitzy and pricey. Lots of restaurants in the area. No attractions or cultural venues. You would have to drive or take a taxi to those. There are a couple of companies in town that have Charlotte day tours, but there%26#39;s not much to see here - it%26#39;s a working/residential city. But, they might offer day trips to the mountains...check www.queencitytours.com. Best wishes.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. This trip will be my second time only in the US and although I%26#39;ll be meeting up with a friend, I%26#39;ll be spending time alone. When I visited (New Orleans) last year I gathered as much info as possible before hand and it really paid off. Trying to find your way around after 17 hours travelling would have been hard work!

You seem to be THE expert on Charlotte!!!
