guys trip labor day weekend

We%26#39;ve got a group of 8 guys (all in our 30s) that take a guys trip every Labor Day weekend. This year we were thinking of heading to Wrightsville Beach, NC. We%26#39;d like to stay in a beach house and just chill on the beach during the day (sipping beers along the way of course) and then head out at night and have some places to go that are laid back, but also not too dead. In other words, not dance places, just places where we can kick back and have a few drinks while people watching and maybe meeting some women along the way. Is Wrightsville Beach the place for us? If not, any other suggestions?

Wrightsville Beach would be a good pick. A few good bars on/near Wrightsville but also a cab ride takes you downtown. Downtown full of bars. I strongly suggest a cab ride if you%26#39;ve been drinking. Traffic stops going on/coming off the island are notorious.

Near Wrightsville, I would suggest The Dirty Martini and Fibber McGee%26#39;s. Dirty Martini popular with young professionals. Fibber%26#39;s is similiar crowd but more of a sports bar. Sunday afternoon, check out the bar at Dockside Restaurant. It will be packed with people if the weather is nice. It%26#39;s right on the water, lots of locals, and you can watch the boats go by. Personally, I like the bars at Bluewater restaurant. Nice atmosphere plus good food.
