Mid March

I%26#39;ll be near the outer banks mid March. I%26#39;ve never been to the area (midwesterner). I%26#39;m traveling with my husband and two teenagers. Any suggestions--we%26#39;d love to see some of the water, kayak (too cold?), or do some beach combing/hiking. Suggestions? Loding?

Mid March

The weather can be very unpredictabel in mid March. It could be 70 or 45 and can change daily.

You will find lots of things to do in OBX, walk on the beach, climb Jockey%26#39;s Ridge (giant sand dune), visit the NC Aquarium in Manteo (small but fun), shop, there is a movie theater, bowling alley, and lots of places to go out to eat.

I love going to OBX during the off season, its cheaper and not crowded.

As far as places to stay it all depends on what you are looking for. You could rent a small house, get a hotel room, or rent a condo. A wide variety of places in a wide range of prices. Need to give us a price range and what you type of lodging you are looking for.
