Accommodations- Can I cancel?

As some of you may know, I have recently booked a house from Joe Lamb Realty for July.

I may have to cancel my trip, though. I just booked over the phone last week, but haven%26#39;t been mailed a rental agreement to sign or put down any type of money for the house.

My question is: can I cancel? I did ';purchase'; the travel insurance when I booked it, but as I said previously, I haven%26#39;t paid a dime for the rental yet or signed an agreement. Just wondering if they%26#39;ll still charge me the $70 insurance fee if I cancel. Or can I just call and tell them to scrap it?

At this time, since there is no signed contract, you shouldn%26#39;t have a problem.

Why did you pay for the travel insurance before paying your deposit?

Well, I %26#39;may%26#39; cancel depending upon IF I can cancel!

I didn%26#39;t actually pay for the insurance yet, I just told them that I wanted it included, along with the damage waiver, etc.

No contract, no payment, no problem. I%26#39;ll tell them as soon as possible however, as a courtesy so they can re-rent the house.
