Who's had Keyless Entry at their Rental ?

Could anyone explain how the keyless entry was used at your rental home? I%26#39;m not sure whether to expect pre-programmed key cards (like at a hotel) or a number pad to punch in the keycode.

Also, can you comment on any big advantages or drawbacks to having keyless entry?

Our group of 20 will be staying at a home in July with keyless entry, and I thought it%26#39;d be interesting to hear people%26#39;s opinions on it. Thanks!

Depends on your rental company. Some use cards and some use kepypads. One of the advantages is that you get the card/code in advance.

I rented from Outer Banks Blue last summer and they used a keypad. They will send the code the week prior to your rental. With this method, there is no need to stop at the realty to pickup or drop off keys. It worked great for me.

Carteret,

That%26#39;s great news! We also booked with Outer Banks Blue. I hope they have a keypad setup also. Were you able to enter the home earlier than 4:00 pm?

FYI:I own beach rentals with keyless entry, I can set it via computer. I wouldn%26#39;t try arriving too early, if at all. It takes time for the cleaning crew to prepare the property for you. My keyless entry combination can be set to begin at a certain date + time, and that code ends on your departure date + time. A new code is given to the next guest.

Enjoy our wonderful beaches and your time in our piece of heaven!

I am not sure when we could have gotten into the house but we arrived around 3:30 and the code opened the door.
