After reading some of the posts-I would like to find out if the Winery tour with my 8 yr old be intersting to her? Myhusband and I would enjoy it. Also, is it part of the Biltmore tour?

Thanks. i greatly appreciate it.

A real nice trip could be to cut through Brevard, Cashiers and Highlands on US 64. There are nice waterfalls there. Take 64 into Frankling and take 441 south to Hotlanta or take 64 west to Murphy and then take 575 south to Hotlanta.

Another route could be take 40 west to 74 and take Smoky Mountain Expressway (US 74 west to Murphy) you will pass through Sylva, Dillsboro, near Cherokee ( to go to Cherokee you need to exit 441 north and drive a few miles), Bryson City, the Nantahala River Gorge and out to Murphy.

Not sure how interesting the Winery tour will be for an 8 year old, but they do offer grape juice for kids to drink while the adults sample the wine. Luckily, the Winery is very close to the Farm Village, so you can stop by there and see the animals and check out some antique farm equipment and possibly some demonstrations of farm life. This is all included in your ticket to Biltmore Estate.

THanks, smokybob.

I appreciate the directions.

Thanks to Avl for the tip.

Do you have any tips about driving from Myrtle Beach area to Asheville ? We love waterfalls, scenic views, wildlife etc.

We%26#39;ll be coming the end of May.

The route from Asheville to Chattanooga in particular would be incredible. You could stop in Chattanooga for an aquarium visit before continuing on to Atlanta.

Are you planning on spending any time in the national park or the surrounding national forests? If not, you should (apart from time constraints).
