Biltmore Square Mall Area

Is this a decent area to stay in? Any good dining options beyond fast food?

Biltmore Square Mall Area

yes, plenty, do not eat fast food in asheville

Biltmore Square Mall Area

This is a nice area. Accessable to major interstaes, plenty of restaurants around (Stone Ridge Tavern, Apollo Flame Bistro, Papas and Beer...)

Sorry.. should read ';accessible to major interstates'; ... It is late.

This is just an ok area with lots of traffic, fast food and the mall but if you drive further down Brevard Road you will be at the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Arboreteum. The restaurants in this area are so mediocre they are not worth going to when you are so close to Asheville. Papas and Beer is an acceptable Mexican but when you are 10 minutes from Tomato (Salvadorean on Patton Ave) or Salsa%26#39;s ( Carribbean/Mex) downtown, why would you bother? StoneRidge is another mediocre Greek/Italian type place - the only positive is large portions and it really isn%26#39;t that inexpensive. Apollo Flame is just gyros, salads and big unappealing servings of pseudo Greek food. Go downtown and you%26#39;ll find lots more choices and similar prices.

We just ate the Flatrock Seafood Place on 25 South of Biltmore Village. It was fairly good. What a great place to eat? Go to West Asheville off of Patton Avenue and you will find 28806 Deli owned by Eric Backer. His food is very good. Dont let the word Deli fool you.
