Seeking Recommendations for Good Triad Travel Agent

My fiance and I have decided to tie the knot on a cruise. Since this trip is very important/special to us, I%26#39;d like to use a top notch travel agent, one who has extensive experience with booking cruises would be ideal. This weekend I visited with 2 travel agents but neither ';wowed'; me and niether exhibited the level of customer service I%26#39;m looking for.

I am typically a do-it-yourself gal when it comes to booking travel arrangements and I%26#39;ve never used a travel agent so maybe my expectations are too high?!? My friends are like me so no one I%26#39;ve asked has been able to give me a good recommendation. I%26#39;d really like someone who knows more than me (not too difficult!) because I%26#39;ve never cruised before and really need some help sorting this all out.

If anyone has a recommendation, please share. Conversely, if you%26#39;ve had a horrible experience with a travel agent I%26#39;d like to know who to stay away from! :-)

thanks for any assistance you can provide!

PS: I hope this information isn%26#39;t already available on trip advise. I did a search on ';travel agent'; and didn%26#39;t find anything on the topic.

Sorry I am late responding. Carlson Wagonlit here in High Point has been great. They arranged a trip to Cancun a year ago and we were very pleased. Their number is 336-887-8700. I would not recommend Way to Go Travel, even though they are much hyped in this area. They arranged our honeymoon to Negril with no problems ($6000 trip by the way), but when I called to use them again for another nice trip, the owner never called me back after leaving my name and number and telling him we wanted to spend $2500 on a trip! Never again!

Hi Heather. Thanks for the reply. I%26#39;ll check them out. Also thanks for the tip on your bad experience. Good to know...but sorry it happened to you!

We sort of put plans on hold because itineraries for cruises to Alaska don%26#39;t come out until May. But we%26#39;ll need to gear up in a few weeks.
